Morning
6th candlemark: rise, bathe, bathe and oil dragons
8th candlemark: breakfast
9th candlemark: weyrling lessons until 12th mark

Afternoon
12th candlemark: lunch break
13th candlemark: weyrling lessons resume
17th candlemark: weyrling lessons end; free time begins

Evening
18th candlemark: dinner and free time
19th candlemark: free time ends
20th candlemark: studying, extra lesson time with weyrlingmaster
22nd candlemark: study and lesson time ends; weyrlings must go to their rooms in the barracks
23rd candlemark: lights out.





WEYRLING LESSONS

*Classroom lessons are marked with an asterisk.
Lesson attendance is mandatory and weyrlings who miss classes will be disciplined appropriately.
If you do not post in lessons, it is assumed that your weyrling is present. Not all lessons will be posted ICly.

First Lesson:
-1 day after Hatching, continued untill 1 month of age
-basic dragon care: feeding, washing, oiling, etc.
-dragon anatomy & basic first aid
-common ailments of dragons *

Second Lesson:
-2 weeks after Hatching, continued until graduation
-how to strengthen bond with dragon
-fitness exercises for dragon and rider

Third Lesson:
-1 month after Hatching, continued until graduation
-learning about Pernese history *
-review of shoulder knots, Weyr hierarchy, etc. and their significance *
-Weyr etiquette *

Fourth Lesson:
-2 months
-about firestone: desired appearance and type, how to sort and bag it, etc.
-drills in ground wing formation and firestone brigades in preparation for Threadfall

Fifth Lesson:
-3 months after Hatching, continued until graduation
-how to share sight between dragon and rider: obstacle course with one member blindfolded while the other has to direct them where to go and share their mind
-combat lessons (unarmed and common weapons)

Sixth Lesson:
-6 months
-how to create and take care of riding straps
-placing harnesses correctly on dragons
-unmanned flights

Seventh Lesson:
-7 months
-first manned flights
-aerial wing formations

Eighth Lesson:
-10 months
-how to load firestone onto a dragon
-how to fly with firestone on dragonback
-more intense wing drills

Ninth Lesson:
-11 months
-Flight procedures, etiquette, and Weyr sexuality *
-how to deal with a proddy dragon *

Tenth Lesson:
-12 months after Hatching, continued until graduation
-giving the dragons their first firestone
-flamethrower introduction and practice for queen- and under queen-riders
-wing drills with firestone

Eleventh Lesson:
-13 months after Hatching, continued until graduation
-giving airborne dragons firestone and flaming in the air while in formation

Twelfth Lesson:
-15 months
-how to give the dragon a clear destination image
-betweening lessons,
-how to prevent being lost between

Thirteenth Lesson:
-18 months
-final weyrling tests
-graduation
